Sunny Isles Beach lacks great restaurants especially for delivery. I live in the area and have been trying to find a good place to get delivery from. The other night I went down to my mailbox room and picked up all of the ads for restaurants that deliver around the area. I asked one of the girls if she recommended any restaurants that delivered. She tried helping but made it more confusing. She told me that the restaurant on Collins Ave that has a Pizza Pizza sign as their name delivers but that if I tried looking for it, I wouldn't find it because that's not the name of the restaurant. Wowwey, I went on a mission to figure out the name and order delivery from them. Why did I go through this mission? It was past 11 pm and most places were now closed. I'll spare everyone the details and move on to the review. I do have to say, I DON'T think there name is great and catchy. Regardless, why not have your signage with your name on it, instead of Pizza Pizza? We ordered a Chicken Milanese with homemade mashed potatoes and side salad and an order of Chicken Fettucini Alfredo with four Diet Cokes. I made sure to ask him if they were made out of the box or fresh mashed potatoes, he guaranteed tha they were homemade. When the delivery guy arrived 45 minutes later, I live approx 5 minutes away. Whatever, I didnt care about the time I waited. I went in for the mashed potatoes and immediately knew they were out of the box. I called and the guy told me he didntg know why they told me they were Got the diet cokes quite quickly. The food was alright, not bad. The chicken milanese and salad were very good and probably the only thing I will order. The pasta wasn't really touched. It was okay for being ehh okay.

My husband and I had dinner here a couple nights ago. Good southern Italian food at a good price. The home made onion rolls were a nice twist to the standard Italian bread and the bruschetta tapenade was tasty. Although we did not have pizza, it looked and smelled very good: like the pizza in Italy. Service was very meticulous. Both servers were checking on us on a regular basis to ensure that we had everything we needed and were enjoying our food. Portions are very generous. We had leftovers and we asked to take home the extra rolls and leftover bruschetta tapenade that had been served to the table. When I got home and took everything out of the bag, I realized that they gave us a 1/2 pint container full of their bruschetta. A very nice touch to show their genuine concern for their customer's return business and the pride they have in their food. Great experience with true, traditional, Italian concern to satisfy their customer. Thanks for a nice evening. I would give 5 stars if they served Chianti by the glass. This is not a complaint, merely a suggestion for the future.

The foccacia's are awesome. The salads are too. This is not the ideal pizza but most dvruthing on the menu is good. The service Is excellent. Some different wraps worth trying too

My favorite place to go to when I visit Florida, I always stop in!! The staff are very personable and know me by name and are always kind! My favorite thing I get there is the Carpaccio, I even order two sometimes! I love the gnocchi bolognese and their pizza! I tell everyone they should go there, and its in the perfect location! Great place!!

I tried their pizza for the first time a few nights ago. Ordered the 3 Fungi pizza, and it was delicious! I live in Aventura, and thankfully, I am in their delivery area. I am excited to try other items on their menu. I definitely recommend!

Being from the NJ/NY area, I was looking forward to a delicious slice of pizza or 2 for dinner. We just ordered a large pie that was possibly the worst I've ever had. The sauce either had too much curry or cumin, which makes no sense. Who makes Italian food with curry? My friend ordered extra anchovies and received zero anchovies. We ordered a large pizza that was really a medium. The person taking our order asked for the number of slices we wanted in our large pie...and this should have been a red flag. Who doesn't know that a regular large pie typically comes with 8 slices? We said we wanted 8 and received 6 small slices in a pie resembling a Tombstone pizza. We would have been better off picking up a frozen pizza at the local CVS. I wouldn't necessarily say Miami is known for its pizza anyway, but if you're from the northeast, you'll notice the difference quickly. Never in my life did I think I would utter these words, but it's probably best to just order Pizza Hut or Domino's.

Your Standard type Pizza / Pasta place located in a strip mall off Collins Ave in ever getting busy Sunny Isles next to Miami Juice where there is NEVER ANY PARKING. Eaten here several times and have also ordered delivery. Delivery is handled by appears a 3rd party or at least the online ordering is handled that way. Variety of Pizza types, sandwiches and pasta and chicken etc dishes. Everything is pretty fair with nothing really standing out. Pizza (Standard) crust was a bit mush and it really had no flavor that made you sit up and say wow... Delivery took just over an hour the last couple times which to be honest for pizza only delivery is completely unacceptable. If eating in there are a few tables outside otherwise inside is fairly narrow & non descript. In short Really nothing here that makes you want to stand up and say I need to eat here or order here again. Not terrible just average at best.

Order food for delivery from them if you love waiting... close to 2 hours to receive it. Every.Single.Time. Their food is good. But nobody should have to wait for 90-120 minutes to eat pizza. That's just ridiculous. It has happened to me 3 times now. The pizzas are on the slightly small size. With so many other options in the area, I am done with this place. Also, the first time I ordered from them, the delivery person pretended not to comprehend English just to keep $2 more on top of the 20% I had already given him. That's a no-no.

  • Jason B.

So I got delivery from there last night and I am here to tell you, save your money. The food is absolutely horrible, some of the worst food I've eaten in South Florida. $54 absolutely wasted.

Best pizza in SoFla. Amazing prices. Other meals are good too! Eating in especially for a family is very convenient. Delivery or pickup is solid. I will not order a pizza anywhere else in south florida.

Ordered a cheeseburger for delivery and was pretty disappointed. The lettuce was wilted, there was barely any cheese, the fries were soggy. I have ordered from them for pizza and the pizza is better. But definitely never ordering a burger from here again.

  • Jesus R.

Solid place. The servers are really nice and sweet. The pizza is good, but it can be better. It came out very fast and that probably kept the dough from being at its best. The sauce could use a beast mode upgrade too. Keep at it Ponte Vecchio! I want you guys to step it up!

Just kinda meh. Not really sure what kind if pizza people have had before, but this was far from the best ever. Crust was OK but sauce was super bland. My wife said her chicken parm was just ok. Walked in and the place had pictures of its food on the wall...always a red flag! I'm sure this is great food at midnight or 1am, and it's good that it's open late. But I'm starting to believe the myth that there's no good pizza anywhere in Miami.

Four of us were driving around house hunting and really hungry for something new. We happened upon this place just by driving by the strip mall and seeing plenty of parking available. We saw a table of two gals splitting a calzone. That thing was HUGE, so we knew that ordering two of them would feed four of us. It was perfect. The price was right, the food was tasty, and the wine and beer were nicely flowing. Who knew pinot grigio could taste so good at 11am?! If you're in the neighborhood, stop on by. It's a casual place with both indoor and outdoor tables. The service was extremely friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I'd gladly eat here again if I was down in Sunny Isles.

I found this place and I m so happy. Each time I order pizza with prosciutto with Alfredo sauce on the side. Love this sauce. Owners are very plaisant. I went there many time and I am always happy. Live this place I feel like home.

So, I can't even eat pizza (well, I can..but my body hates cheese and wheat) and seeing/smelling/watching Boyfriend eat his slices of pizza from here I decided to say "HEY BODY, YOU'RE GONNA LIKE THIS" and steal a few bites... yum.. I love doughy pizza, doughy, garlicky, pizza. And this place has got it. Plus- it shares a wall with Miami Juice which is also wonderful (because I had to balance out the pizza with something healthy ;]) He also got a cafe latte from here and exact words were (with wide eyes), "WOW, wow.. that is.. wow"

What a fantastic find! We always eat at Miami juice and see this place busy. So the next time we were in the mood for Italian we came here. They accommodated 8 people no problem, kids at free with an adult entree, bottle of wine specials, great food, reasonable prices, and exceptional service. We will definitely be back soon! What a gem!

I went here based in the reviews. The service was great. The pizza was great, the ingredients were fresh. Had a good menu and it was diverse . The garlic knots were fantastic and I thought the service was excellent. I recommend it

Placed a to/go order late night. was hung up on 2x. This was the most nastiest pizza ever bought. It came 1/2 baked (doughy), no sauce only cheese and greasy. Never again even if I am starved! I am shocked how these reviews are so high. Must be family members or people who work there.

I have an apartment across the street that I stay at in the summer time. Every time I stay there I come here or order pizza. I finally came into eat and the service was great. I had the meat lovers and garlic knots. The pizza was made with fresh Ingredients and sauce was good. The garlic knots were amazing too.

My bf and I ate here on our last night of vacation in Sunny Isles Beach. We were craving Pizza and stumbled in here as it was the first pizza place we saw. It hit the spot! We shared a bbq chicken pizza and enjoyed it very much. The pizza was literally only cheese, bbq sauce and chicken, but it was still good. The crust is thick and doughy - the way I like it! The service was attentive, which is really all you can ask for in Miami. If I lived here, I'd def go back to try a traditional italian pizza!

Great place to visit, have fun and eat with friends! We are from Houston and visit Miami not very often, but every time that we are in Florida II Ponte Vecchio Pizzeria is one of our favorite locations to eat and have fun! Pizza is excellent as well as other plates. Live music on Fridays and great service, something that it is hard to find in other places. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sunny Islands. Virginia & Lili

I've ordered take out pizza at a few places in the area recently, and this by far has been the best pizza. The cheese is fresh and plentiful; it doesn't taste processed like some of the other pizzas I've had here. The crust is moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, it's perfect.

Great little Italian spot. Friendly service, good portions, definitely recommend.

UMMM... Can we give honorary 6th stars? The food here is incredible!! to be honest I wasn't expecting much from a random Italian joint in a strip but boy am I a believer! I willl never judge a strip mall tenant by its location again! I have no idea who the chef is, but you really get the impression that someone is holding their Italian nonna hostage in the kitchen. Should this not be the case then the cook is just plain amazing. Went here with 2 friends. We shared a white pizza - delicious and light. I had the cheese tortellini in mushroom sauce. If orgasm were possible from food, I'm sure I would have with this dish. SOOO good!! My lord! My other friend had the spaghetti and meatballs. All she had to say about it was "fantastic!!" Because we'd already eaten a little earlier and it was super hot outside, we couldn't finish it all but you'd better believe we took our leftovers! Never had a yummier leftover breakfast in my life. Also - such reasonable prices!!! Too reasonable!! I'd have no problem paying double what they charge for that food. It is top notch!

Hands down! Best Pizza in town! My favorite pizza is the Napolitano. They have everything you could ever want and they deliver. It took me months to find a pizza place in this neighborhood and I'm so glad to have them here. It's a great place to grab a glass of wine and dinner and they're open late. Trust me.. You will love this place too!

Very good pizza. Friendly staff. The garlic rolls are excellent. Be sure to ask for a cup of ranch to go with them, makes them excellent!

The best place for pizzas and chivitos! Everything is good in their menu!Chicken parmigiana, the eggplant, carpaccio, EverYtHiNg!!! And the service is even better! Excellent place ! We love Il Ponte !!! :)

Went for lunch and I was not very enthusiastic with my pizza. I guess I was expecting much more. Good service.

  • Mark W.

I have only had the pizza here, but I just moved from living across the street and have had more than my fair share of it. 4 stars for pizza, extra star because the owner is always there and he always grabs the door for you when he can. Also great because they are open late into the night, I think either 1am or 2am and the majority of pizza joints in this part of Miami are closed much much earlier, so this became my go-to place for late night food.

  • Lisa H.

We had delivery to our hotel. Not impressed! The person that took our order was unfriendly. The pizza order was wrong and kind of greasy. The garlic rolls were mostly garlic. Salads were very good.

This place is alright, it's a little overdone, to be honest. It's usually a hit or miss, it was really at its apogee when it first opened, now it has this attitude of 'whenever-I-fell-like-it' (based off of what's recently coming out of the kitchen) . But yeah, Ponte is a mix of Rio Platense (Latin American) and ol' fashioned Italian (nearing more to Americana). The Chivito, that gigantic Uruguayan sandwich, is the menu's must-try at Il Ponte -- the pizza ain't all that bad, either. The staff is great, no complaints there. My only real complaint is the parking. Since it's located in a tiny plaza off of US1 in Sunny Isles, expect to find little to no parking, especially with the nearby Jamba Juice which sees more people per capita than all of Delhi. Great if you're in the area, but not worth the drive, in my opinion.

Hands down, the best Italian food in this area. Staff were friendly, more so than most in this affluent area, and the food was incredible. You can truly taste the freshness in every bite. The tomato bruschetta is an incredible starter. Very pungent, but not overpowering leaving you very satisfied going in. The Carbonara, unlike most places, is true light Italian Carbonara made with egg, and prosciutto. The tortellini il Ponte is robust and incredibly flavorful, and of course the pizza speaks for itself. How anyone could have a problem with this place is beyond me, but to each their own. This is one very satisfied customer here. Only shame is there's only one location!

We ate in. Impeccable fine dining service in a casual atmosphere. Phenomenal food. This place reminded of me of places I've eaten in Italy and France and it's a strip mall in Sunny Isle.

This is my favorite pizza in Sunny Isles. Fairly thick crust with generous mozzarella and fresh toppings. Service is attentive and friendly.

I went for the first time there, to try their "Chivitos" and I found out they have a wide menu with lots of options like pizzas, calzonnis, pasta and other italian related dishes. We had the chivito sandwich that was just OK (The bread they use it's burger's not chivito's) and it came along with the fries on the side a little cold. The service was good, friendly and it's not a place to avoid but not a place to die for either.

Although a staff member maybe felt pressured to tell a tale instead of admitting to a mistake I decided to try them again after receiving an email from their management. Because of their free delivery and daily specials during the week it's quite convenient to order and save a few extra bucks on delivery. Their pizza is much better than any of the local major chains! You won't get a larger with unlimited toppings for $11 or $10 like at a major chain but the crust and cheese are delish here and I'd honestly much rather have a plain cheese pizza from here than an unlimited topping pizza from Papa John's down the street. After trying them again, I found that we couldn't stop and aside from the somewhat stiff receptionist they've turned us into fans. I have no intentions on ordering any other food here as the desserts and even garlic rolls are pretty poor quality and taste, especially after reading other yelpers' reviews. Even the wings that they include in some of the weekly specials come with strange looking withered up veggies on the side (carrots and celery are NOT supposed to look like that folks!). They could totally omit them and get away with us thinking they wings are fresh. -o-o-o-Previous Review Below -o-o-o- Staff is either pretty rude or perhaps they were busy and just did not have good phone manners, which I suppose equates to being rude either way you spin it. Christina was very abrupt and had a sarcastic tone throughout the conversation. There was no guiding toward what I might like to order. For example I asked how much a cheese pizza was and her response was, "Uh well it would depend on the size you order.(cricket, cricket)" Really?? Decent customer service would reply, "$x" and not even give me a size option but her response to each question I had was sub-standard and coarse. I wanted something other than just a pie and wasn't sure what else to order since it was my first time ordering from them. After I put in the order for the pie she didn't ask if I wanted anything else or how I'd like to pay and seemed like she just wanted to hang up on me and get rid of me. Turns out I ordered something else and also needed to give my credit card info so we went through a few more cycles of me dodging a dial tone. Now that I think of it she never gave me a total either. Turns out they over charged me. She said it was a delivery charge when I called back but then my Husband called later from his phone and asked how much delivery was to our area and she said it was free. Not cool. Delivery took about 40 minutes at 7:30pm on a Friday night, so that's pretty good. Aside from the poor service and being over charged the pizza was up there. It was pretty darn good actually but something didn't quite seem right about the size. Someone said, "There's no way that's 20 inches." and as it turns out it wasn't. Their 20 incher was almost 18 inches. Ms. Christina also interrupted me to tell me that their " cheese pizza" is the "Margherita Pizza" and not just a "cheese" pizza. So folks, and Christina, a Margherita Pizza was originally made for Queen Margherita incorporating the colors of the Italian flag. Il Ponte Veccio's Margherita was really just a "cheese pizza" since it didn't have the basil in it and was thus missing out on the green color in the flag. The rolls were pretty rancid and I'm glad we only ordered 6 instead of the dozen since they were not edible. They didn't use real garlic and although the rolls were not as hard as hockey pucks they did not score any points with us. I wanted to give this place another shot but lying to clients about how much you're going to charge them, and what you're charging them for is a deal breaker for me. Regardless of how the pizza measured up, the service and clarity of what we were actually going to receive was very poor and does not measure up!

Where do I start? There are great reviews on here so I thought that we would try this 'Italo-Latin-American Cuisine' where their website promises 'homemade dishes' to 'experience and fall in love'. 'Family style dining' actually means dirty, sticky fold-away tables and chairs corralled in the corner of this plaza. My guests were not happy to be there but I was more optimistic and was able to look past the seating arrangements in the hope of great homemade pasta and pizza. "So your pasta is all homemade?" I ask the waiter. "No; only the lasagne" Things are not getting better. We ordered the veal milanese (or equivalent) which was described as 'thin' which was a) dark meat (not too much of an issue) but b) was about the thickness of my thumb. The lasagne was ok but definitely had better. I was also luke warm in the centre which, combined with the exact 12 minutes it takes to prepare and the same 12 minutes for pizzas, I suspect that it goes from fridge to pizza oven to be reheated. I ordered the Fettuccini [sic] Alla Carbonara. I should have realised that this was not going to be great but the use of "eggs and not cream" convinced me that they would do it properly. Wow, what I got I did not expect. I got a bowl of pasta with some raw onion (pizza topping) and chewy bacon bits (pizza topping) with scrambled egg tossed in for good measure. I thought that they cooked the egg (and left in the whites) by mistake. I couldnt eat this asked to change it so the manager came out to ask what the problem was. He told me that they scramble the egg separately and add at the end and that "this was how we serve it here". You need to avoid this dish at all costs and if you eat this thinking that this is what carbonara is you need to go somewhere else as you're missing out. They did replace it with the spaghetti bolognese which to be honest was about the same as the lasagne; non-offensive but forgettable. It actually could just be their pizza sauce with ground beef pizza topping added. Who knows? On the plus side, the staff were all smiling and very friendly. They didnt mind at all that we sent the food back or that we didnt want to take the leftovers 'to-go'. The manager seem genuinely interested when i explained how to make the carbonara properly but looking at the 'chefs' it is not surprising that this is much more well known as a pizzeria and why they just reheat pre-cooked food. The other plus is that the bottled water is Evian which is, in my opinion, the best water to buy. It is funny that they have the best water with such average food and this was definitely the best tasting part of the meal!

I liked the pizza here and it is within walking distance of my home so I will almost certainly be back. The crust is a little thicker than I normally like, but it was a tasty crust and even though it was on the thicker side, it was not overly doughy. The pizza is very lightly sauced, but it was a nice savory sauce. The toppings are diverse and tasty (I got my staple of pepperoni and salami). Prices are pretty good and the service was friendlier than I was expecting it to be. It's a solid place...

I only gave this 2 stars because of the fast delivery service I had. The ETA was 45 min and they came 20 minutes early, that was nice considering having read the reviews on their delivery service. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and wow... It was so disappointing, it barely had any tomato sauce and it was a bit stale. The eggplant was actually a tad bit rubbery which I found weird and gross. I just find it weird that it wasn't that warm to begin with since they delivered early, I guess it was from a previous order.. Or I don't know. I can tell you it wasn't tasteful. I also had ordered their chick pea pie... It smelled weird, I wouldn't know how to describe it. It reminded me of the scent of a gas station. Like a medical smell, almost. I'm not exaggerating, I like to give restaurants a chance, but this was the worst food I've had. I didn't even bother finishing the chick pea pie, I believe it's called "faina". Anyway, normally when I have food left over I always give it to some homeless folks on the way home, but this food was so bad I won't even bother. I can honestly say I would never order from here again. Some people have had pleasant experiences with this restaurant, but I surely didn't. If it wasn't for the fast delivery I would only give it 1 star. I'll give one other good review, the house salad was really good! Aside from that my food was terrible.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. They came to the door to deliver, and they hand the pizza to me and didn't let me sign anything. And buy the time I put the pizza down the delivery guy was already gone, literally ran away. And I open the pizza and it's cold and the crust is half way cooked. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, SAVE YOUR MONEY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Really bad costumer service. Lots of mistake for a simple order. They forgot the salad, the wine was bad and they brought the wrong pizza size but charged us for the most expensive one. I spoke to the manager and he was not even nice. A simple smile would have helped.

Hubby picked up this pizza tonight and it is very close to us which I love. Its probably the best option around us so far, and it is within walking distance. I was coming right off a binge weekend of eating Marc Anthony pizza (my FAVE long island best pizza ever), and the pizza here still tasted pretty good even with that recent memory of deliciousness. The crust is a little thicker than I like. But, it is the best close pizza that we've found and I'm happy to have easy access to pretty good pizza!!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
